Types of STDs Welcome

Hi and welcome to my site, Types of STDs. My Name’s Gary Austin and I can begin by telling you I’m not a qualified Medical Practitioner.  In fact, I’m glad I’m not. When considering setting up this specialised Types of STDssite, I realised that there was no shortage of ‘establishment’ information out there from many highly qualified MD’s and researchers. My aim was not to go down that road but instead to develop something your average Joe could use and search for down to earth info on the clap and similar venereal challenges out there awaiting the unwary!.

So in starting up Types of STDs I brought to it only my own experience based on world travel and the insights I gained there to the STI’s that affect (or should that be ‘infect’) many countries around the world.  You see, I’ve travelled extensively, often backpacking it, around Africa, Asia and South America over many years. If you visit these parts of the world outside of a package tour you get to see the more difficult sides to life.  Often travelling with companions and staying with friends gives you insights not otherwise gained. So I’ve seen the seamier side of the world, the soft underbelly if you will, where STI’s are as common as stars in the sky. Whether observing the HIV-ravaged parts of Africa or the Syphilis-ridden port cities of Asia and South America, I’ve seen it all. Been there, done that and got the T-shirt.

By this point you’re probably saying to yourself ‘Ok, but has this guy ever had any of these nasties?’.  Well, not all as I’m still alive but a fair few believe me. Tested in Thailand, Medicated in Mauritius or AIDS suspected in South Africa I’ve done the business. Does that qualify me to write here…no, not in the manner of a medical professional.  However, one thing my travels have shown me is the need for easily accessible information on these common STD’s. I’ve therefore decided to gather together many articles from across the web and present them here as a unified resource. My hope is that folk suspecting they may have contracted a condition will be able to find the information to allow them to take action. If that is achieved then I will have added something useful to the debate.

To that end, I hope you find them useful and they offer information, knowledge and often (most importantly) peace of mind that there are treatments to be had.  If you have come here because you fear that you may have a problem then I’m here to tell you that you need only fear your fear itself.  There is a great deal of very discrete support, advice and guidance out there but you must take that first step and accept that if all doesn’t appear to be well then you need to do something – get it done!.

I wish you well in your search about types of stds and thanks again for visiting Types of  STDs.
